Hi guys, I want to move up a notch and build a decent PC to stay on top of the upcoming games over the next 2 years if not longer.
What I'm looking for is a nice and cool system, cheap to maintain, preferably air. High processing speeds and high fps, low voltage overclock.
Up to this point I was looking at:
Aerocool X-Predator Tower
X99 or Z97 chipset motherboard - not sure which one to go for at the moment
Intel 5820K Haswell-E i7 hex-core (x99) or an i7 quad (z97)
Corsair 32GB DDR3 2133mhz or 16GB DDR4 2133mhz
Samsung 850 SSD (256GB)
2x GTX 760 (SLI) vs GTX 980
I also have a 750W SuperNOVA EVGA PSU to go with it. Bought it a few months ago.
Now, this is where I get indecisive... I'm not sure if its actually worth to go with a hex-core, I don't work with computers enough to know the differences. And I don't know how does DDR3 ram compare to DDR4; at which point I'm wondering if 16gb of ddr4 is as fast as 32gb of ddr3. Also, bearing in mind I am not using a 4k monitor at this point but can not guarantee I won't in the future - which GPU setup would you recommend? Any suggestions or recommendations, I will appreciate gratefully.
As a side note - I have never owned an AMD based spec. Is it worth going for?
