Built this PC for my dad, thoughts?

My Dad's PC is over 13 years old, so he wanted something new, with a decent high spec that will hold him for another 13 years :D

I'm not super clued up on all aspects of PC building, but went with what knowldedge I have. Can anyone spot any major issues?

Monitor - Not 100% sure, it's a basic Philips with HDMI connection.
Uses - He mainly wants it for home use, using Microsoft Office, video calls, some amateur photo editing, browsing the web, etc. But he basically wants it to be future proof for a long time (as mentioned above) hence I've tried to go for some higher specs than he probably needs.
Max Budget - His budget was around £1000. We went through the options below together so he made the final call on each one, but like me he's not 100% clued up.

I would not buy that PC. As it's based on an old platform it's not a good investment and would have a more limited lifespan compared to a more modern choice.

This isn't a demanding system so he can use integrated graphics, specifically the 8600G. Then I'd go for better choices all round, which you can still do for cheaper. It won't be as good in video editing or gaming, though it could still do it in a pinch, but that's not what you say he'll be doing so it should be ok.

To get it to the same price I've taken Windows out as it should be possible to migrate the licence from the old PC. But if you can't, that would add £100ish to the price. Also I've taken the DVD drive out: if you want one, it's a way better choice to use an external USB drive than compromise your case choice with an internal one.

Hey, thanks a lot for that. I didn’t see those options as I chose “Home/Office/Gaming” when I started configuring. That looks very good and I’m pretty sure he has a Windows 11 key.
