can excel be calibrated?

to keep it simple . . . if i size a cell and put a box round it say 3cm x3cm

the printed result is a box 2.7cm x 3cm . . ie the length is 10% short

not only that any printed stuff is not centre page even though flagged off

in print preview ( i have to put a 70mm top margin to centralise it

it is not the drivers or printer since the printed results using a cad are

exact

this is important to me since a need to make templates for up to 75 labels per

sheet of A4

Have you checked your page set up settings for printing hasnt got scale page on and that the margins are all set to the same size so you are not starting the print a few cms lower / to the left etc

and centre on page horizontal and vertical are tagged ( so no margins )
the printed horizontal dimentions are near enough
but the printed vertical dimentions are 10% short
i can add 1.8 to the vertical cells that brings them near
but overall the complete print is not centred
this can be compensated by trial and error using the margins
but its a PITA

I’ve never got Excel to scale accurately when printing, so I either manually tweak everything (which is fine if I’m creating a template that I will use frequently), or I create a Word template instead.

In the past I’ve also used mail merge to grab lots of prepopulated Excel data into a Word template.
