Hello everyone,

I've recently upgraded to Starlink internet, as I live in the countryside so there are no fibre options, the ADSL is 10MB/s and 4G while faster, is limited.

With Starlink, I've noticed that on my phone I can achieve download speeds of up to 300MB/s, with average speeds around 150MB/s.

However, on my laptop I simply can't get a download of more than 30MB/s, on either ethernet or wifi. I've tried loads of options in the adapter settings but no joy. I've deleted and re-installed the drivers, again no joy. As such, I reckon an upgrade to a more modern card (if possible) is the best solution.

My full spec is:

You can swap out that WiFi card but its not the problem unless the one you have is faulty. That card should be good for around 108MB/s dependant on the router compatibility and real world limitations.
