CAn you upgrade the GPU in the 17 inch vortex?

just the above question. curious who would do it and where to get the gpu.
just dont want to splash the cash with a 580m then the gpus are released and they are better.

Uhh, I think they can, although im not 100% on this, i know that one of the higher end models can be changed and i think its this

Although, I'm not entirely sure if the nvidia 600 series will be the fit or not

All being well (and without promising) yes - providing we are able to source a heatsink for the GPU and the thermal ratings are equal to or lower than the 580M.

I would go for a 580. It is the only really high end card that works really well, the fault reports for these are almost non-existent. NV could easily bring something expensive out that is a bag of nails. It's hit and miss.
