So i bought a PC specialist gaming PC for currys at the weekend, and collected it yesterday. I have a pretty strange problem that only effects this desktop though, no other device in the house has had any issues like this.
Whenever i try to connect to the internet it takes a pretty long time to connecting, then it normally drops and i get the no connections available symbol popping up. After that it connects but say "no internet available" and shows the yellow warning marker near the internet access part the task bar, it then normally connects properly. However, when you go to use the internet with any browser you just end up web pages not loading and the browser saying no internet is available even though its connected. On the off chance you get a web page to load, it is painfully slow. On top of that, it usually drops connection again, showing the yellow warning marker near the internet access part of the task bar again. So even if it ends up working for a bit, it always stops again. Its also dead slow doing things like updates and downloads when i am lucky enough to get a connection.
I know its not an issue with my internet or router since every other internet enabled device in the house connects with no issues, and runs flawlessly while connected. Its just effecting the new desktop. I have tried restarting the router just in case, which achieved nothing to fix the situation. I also tried updating windows, updating and reinstalling the network adapters through the device manager, and even resetting the PC. Nothing has solved it. I dont think i will be able to sort it out myself, and i am planning on going back to the shop today to see if the knowhow/tech support chaps can sort it out, i just wondered if anyone here has had the same issue?
Pretty frustrating to spend £1600 on a PC to have it basically not work.
