[SOLVED]Caps lock Notification and Typing (Notification problem) [Optimus V]

While typing and I hit caps lock I'm unable to type for like half a second when the notification windows disappears. This is extremely frustrating while typing as keys aren't recognized so spelling becomes an issue and I don't wish to briefly stop typing when I choose to write a capital letter.

The cause of this is the screen transitioning out and in. No doubt hotkey has a part to play.

Any ideas for a fix to stop this notification briefly preventing me typing?

EDIT: Right clicking on the hotkey icon allows you to click "K/B Indicator" thus turning off the caps lock notification. It still occurs for airplane mode and screen brightness but solves my issue. Pretty simple fix in the end.

I think you're right that it's Hotkey that's the issue. Are you using the latest version of Hotkey? You can get it (and other drivers) from the Clevo download site. You'll need your Clevo model number (on the bottom).

I'm assuming your laptop is a Clevo chassis of course..... ;)

I just removed the hotkey application which solved it for me! Not found anyone who knows what the app does anyway!

I rely on the hotkey software to easily switch between "UMA" and "High Performance" modes.

Iirc that's so it can directly control power settings. The "VGA" button switches between two power profiles, so I think it must be it's way of controlling it.

I may be wrong, hopefully someone else can confirm/deny this.
