Case Question

Hi Guys,

I've been searching for a Micro ATX Case which is reasonably compact and I think I've found the one that I'd like. It needs to fit on a desk hence keeping it smaller.

Reason that I'm not getting one from PCS is that the cheapest basic one they do (The Stylish Piano Black Enigma Micro-ATX Case) is that I'm worried about the cooling and dust protection - well lack of I should say.

The rest of the Compact Micro ATX Cases' PCS do won't hold a DVD Drive and the internal card reader - which I need both.

So I've done a bit of research, and I haven't found much which takes my fancy, although one has got me particular interested in it : Cooler Master Silencio 352

*I think I'm OK to put the link as it is to the manufacturers website, who don't sell)

Now this just about fits the criteria : Looks good, has decent cooling, still compact enough and dust protection. And possibly most importantly - within my price budget.

It has 3 USB ports on the front, 2x 3.0 and 1x 2.0. Just a quick question - can the 3.0 USB Ports be used with 2.0 equipment? (i.e. are they backwards compatible).

Anyway, my most important questions is regarding the cooling and SD card reader :

- The case comes with 2x 120mm fans at the front and rear. Would this be enough cooling for a Office Build running i5 4690? Or would it be worth fitting the 'Super Quiet 22dBA Cooler' if it would even fit?

- The case has a built in SD card reader but I'd like the internal one PCS offer as it would accept different cards. Would it be possible to run two different card readers, which both work - or am I going to have issues?

Any help would be greatly appreciated, as this is almost the final piece to my build.

Many Thanks,

James

1. Yes, USB 3 is backwards compatible.
2. From memory, my PC at work only has 2 x 80mm fans and the stock Intel CPU cooler and stays at a sensible temperature. That said, it never gets pushed anywhere near its full potential. The super duper quiet cooler is a processor cooler, it won't make any difference to to the temperature inside of the case, it will only help to keep the CPU cooler.

Sorry, I have no idea about card readers.
