Castle Crashers crew

Me and Monkey have been playing a lot of Castle Crashers lately and quite frankly, I love it. It's such an epic game, skill progression feels good and it actually requires some tactics to get through a lot of boss fights, etc.

Just basically putting this out there to see if anybody else has it and would be interested in tagging on some time? Perhaps you bought it in the sale and haven't played it, or perhaps you just didn't have anybody else to play it with, anyone is free to tag along, whether you've played before or not!

For those that don't have it, I would definitely recommend it. It's a very laid back game and doesn't require a huge amount of skill to play, plus there are some genius comedy moments in there. Should be able to pick it up for a few quid if you hunt around.

I'll play if I'm about when you guys are on. It was one of my favourite XBLA games of all time! Blue knight for the win!

Never played it but it catches my eye along with Trials Evolution.

Is it like Scott Pilgrim vs the world at all? The game not the film

Nice one Booz! They recommend you play with a controller (xbox preferably) but I haven't given it a go with a keyboard so can't comment on whether it's still any good.

And alright steaky! I've been using the Orange one just because it was between orange or green when I first played it and I'd heard green is pretty tough for beginners. Loving orange though although I think I've screwed his stats up. Kind of gone for a tanky damage build but with some magic as well. So I'm about half way on strength, a quarter on magic and 3 or 4 on defence... He seems pretty strong but I can't help feeling it's gonna sting me later on as I should have maybe focused fully on strength :\

I haven't played Scott Pilgrim so not sure smoke. It's basically a 4 player co-op where you're all on the same screen and side-scroll through missions bashing stuff about. It's effectively a cartoon version of Streets of Rage back on the mega-drive... But cartoony and a bit more indepth with levelling up and weapons, etc.

I think I need to watch a video or something. Everyone seems to rate the game but from screen shots it looked rubbish so I'll have a perv on youtube and see if I fancy it.

I don't think videos would do it justice and the screenshots definitely wouldn't, I was brutally bullied into buying it so I had no choice and just did it. It was like £2 so I didn't mind too much.

Even the first night playing it I wasn't that impressed, seem to just be a button basher.

After playing 4 or 5 times (still relatively new to it all) I couldn't be happier with it, looks like a basic game to the naked eye, quite a lot more to it than that and actually requires some brain power. Hence why I'm always having to revive DM and not the other way round.

I take it Steam's £9.99 is the only place its available?

Shouldn't be, I bought it off US Amazon Deals page but it's one of them ones where you need to register a US address. I'll see if I can find it anywhere mate.

Edit: Ah it seems to be Steam or Amazon US exclusive :\ Seems cheaper on Steam but I still don't know if I can recommend spending a tenner on it. I spent £2 on mine during the sales so it wasn't too big of a hit...

Can probably still get your moneys worth out of it but £10 is a lot of money for a PC indie game.

Go onto steamgameswap on reddit, someone is bound to be trading it for a couple of treasure keys, thats how i buy games now as it is always cheaper. (i got Don't Starve for £4.50 last night instead of £12)
