Chassis not in stock for fast track.

Greetings, I ordered myself a new laptop last week, and ofc like im sure everyone else who orders a new rig im stoked as hell lol. I checked my exact order on fast track service today (only 5 working days in total so I'm not impatient yet lol) and found that the chassis I opted for, the 15.6" Optimus 1080 LED in matte is out of stock or atleast the current stock is pre-sold, this could mean my order is included in that pre-sold lot but I guess only PCS knows that.

This thread is just a pre-emptive effort to find out if it is out of stock and to see if I can expect a longer wait for stock delivery, If any PCS employees are able to shed some light on it that would be cool, I only went into pre-production today but it would be great to know if that particular chassis is going to be a lengthy wait.

Thanks in advance for reading this, sorry if im being a nuisance, I know I'm going to start counting the days soon like a child waiting for christmas and I'm a 31 year old grown man for gods sake lol.

Did you order it on fast track originally?

Yesterday I phoned up to see what was happening with my laptop (the model as yours), apparently there are indeed no chassis available, however they have a batch coming in today, so that's probably why pre-production has started on yours, as it has on mine.

I would imagine it should go into building fairly soon then, unless there's a load of fast track orders in front of you (like me!)

The only way to find out would be to give PCS a call and ask. If what Swiss says is true (which I'm sure it is) then I'm sure prodcution will start pretty rapidly for you.

I'm guessing he didn't order on fast track, but was just checking if stuff was in stock by reconfiguring and seeing if it would let him fast track (which it didn't).
Hopefully stuff will be in stock by the time dawzinator gets to number one in the queue, only PCS will know when stock is due in - but do note 'due in' does not always equal 'gets delivered on time'

I don't want to talk anymore about stock...... I'm still waiting for something I ordered from a competitor for over a month now! Took my money quick enough though

My optimus V just went into building recently, so they definitely got some in today.

I'm on fast track priority though so not sure how quickly yours will go in.

Hey guys, thanks for the replies. Correct that mine isnt on fast track, I needed to buy an SSD separately (none offered large enough) and also a Razer Naga for my MMO's so i was trying to keep the cost down anywhere possible.

I did contact live support on the website and the guy I spoke to was extremely quick and helpful, like stated above the chassis stock was due in today so he reckoned there should be no delays with luck, either way I'm a patient man usually but lets be realistic here, when your a man, and you order any electronic products, you really do find out how weak you are lol.

As Rakk will no doubt tell you, both genders find out how weak they are while waiting for electronic products.
