Cheap PC build

Hi I need a pc to play games like ETS2 and ATS. I also need peripherals (monitor keyboard and mouse). The monitor must be IPS and probably 23 inches because the space is very limited, (see photos for desk dimensions).

What is your maximum budget for everything? Different people have different ideas of cheap.

1.2m x .5m (I am assuming the 19.5" is depth) isn't the smallest desk around

You won't be able to get a custom PC for gaming at that price, the absolute minimum budget is about £850 just for the PC.

At that budget you'd be far better off with a console.

Prices have gone up a bit because of the corona situation, it's just not possible at that budget.

I disagree somewhat. This will play ETS2 and ATS just fine and is within the OPs budget...

There's no monitor in that and whilst it will play them, sure, it’s not going to be a good experience and has zero upgradeability. Plus 4gb RAM is going to struggle with anything windows based.

I Stand by what I said, console I’ll give a much better experience.

ETS2 and ATS are not on console.

I realise that. What I'm saying is that you ditch that game and look for an equivalent on console.

The point is while you can configure a PC out of just about any components you like, in my book, it doesn't meet being a "gaming PC" without 2 things:

1/. Being upgradeable, there's absolutely no point in buying a PC just for that iteration. If the budget is so low that it prevents any upgradeablility then it's just not a gaming PC.

2/. Offering better experience than console.

Those two considered, you get more value and better experience from buying a console which will last for 10 years of gaming. A Gaming PC is only worth it if it has a substantial enough platform that will take the user through 2 or 3 upgrade paths down the road. A good platform will happily lead to 7 - 10 years use.

On that build, the CPU and RAM will bottleneck the rest of the system. The Platform isn't powerful enough to call it a gaming PC.

You don't just ditch ATS2 and ETS - I know as I've hundreds of hours invested in them.

Then you save up the budget and invest properly in something that’s worthwhile.

Thank you for the suggestion. At the moment iI will not buy a pc.

In that build I would change the CPU with a Ryzen and change the RAM from from 4GB to 8GB (2X4) 4GB of RAM is low in 2020
