Hi guys!

recently, I purchased a Genesis IV laptop, it has a Intel i5 processor and a nVidia 630 1GB graphics card. It runs everything I need very well, even running GTA IV on medium to high!

However, christmas is coming up and i'm curious, would investing in an Intel i7 Quad Core really improve my gaming performance that much? Also, would I be able to improve my graphics card to? I would preferably want a GPU of about 2GB..

Please reply, I need as much info' as I can get.. Thanks!

I'm not sure how easy it would be to upgrade the graphics in the Genesis laptops as I believe they are soldered to the motherboard. You could probably change the chip but it might be difficult if you are not experienced. Of course you could use PCS upgrade service if you were so inclined.

I would point out however upgrading the CPU will probably not improve gaming performance too much.

Yeah, I've tried using their upgrade service and I cannot upgrade it. Which is a shame really, but I will probably look into it more and see if it's possible to do.. Also, would upgrading the CPU really be worth it? It will cost me £200? I think my best option would be to try and upgrade my Graphics card, hopefully there's a solution..
