I'm also working on a system for my brother-in-law, his budget is ~£800, he wants an occasional gaming machine, a general use computer and one that'll last him a number of years.

Been going over this spec with my brother-in-law (his new computer) and this is the 'final' spec. Think it should be ok, let me know what you think or if I've made any obvious slip-ups. It's only for occasional gaming and general use, want the computer to last a long time hence no OC'ing.

No, I think you've got most areas covered. If you want to save a bit of ££ then spec the same components here. You can select different (cheaper) Motherboards.

The P8P67 Motherboard supports things such as overclocking & crossfire (2x ATI Graphics Cards) which I doubt he will utilize, may as well have the cash instead :)
