Hi,

I've run custom configuration for the Gaming PC and just want to check if I should change anything?

Case: FRACTAL POP SILENT CASE TG (WHITE) - need case for extra HDD that I can connect from my old PC.

Processor (CPU):
AMD Ryzen 9 7950X3D 16 Core CPU (4.2GHz-5.7GHz/144MB w/3D V-CACHE/AM5)

Motherboard: ASUS® ROG CROSSHAIR X870E HERO (AM5, DDR5, M.2 PCIe 5.0, Wi-Fi 7) - would I need x870e or should stick to x670e other version, open for suggestion from the components available on website.

Memory (RAM):
64GB Corsair VENGEANCE DDR5 5200MHz (2 x 32GB)

Graphics Card: 16GB ASUS TUF GEFORCE RTX 4080 SUPER OC EDITION - HDMI, 3 x DP or 16GB ASUS PROART GEFORCE RTX 4080 SUPER - HDMI, 3 x DP or for 16GB ZOTAC GEFORCE RTX 4080 SUPER TRINITY BLACK EDITION - HDMI, 3 x DP - or other 4080 super

1st M.2 SSD Drive:
2TB SOLIDIGM P44 PRO GEN 4 M.2 NVMe PCIe SSD (up to 7000MB/sR, 6500MB/sW) or 2TB CORSAIR CORE XT MP600 NVMe PCIe M.2 SSD (up to 5000 MB/R, 4400 MB/W) or 2TB SAMSUNG 990 PRO M.2, PCIe 4.0 NVMe (up to 7450MB/R, 6900MB/W)

1st Storage Drive: 8TB SEAGATE IRONWOLF PRO 3.5", 7200 RPM 256MB CACHE10TB SEAGATE IRONWOLF PRO 3.5", 7200 RPM 256MB CACHE

Power Supply: CORSAIR 1000W RMx SERIES™ - MODULAR 80 PLUS GOLD, ULTRA QUIET - or should I go with 850W

Processor Cooling:
PCS FrostFlow 240 Series ARGB High Performance Liquid Cooler (250W TDP) or PCS FrostFlow 360 Series ARGB High Performance Liquid Cooler (290W TDP) or CORSAIR iCUE H100i ELITE CAPELLIX XT RGB High Performance CPU Cooler (250W TDP) or CORSAIR iCUE H100i ELITE LCD XT RGB CPU Cooler (250W TDP) or CORSAIR iCUE H150i ELITE LCD XT RGB CPU Cooler (280W TDP) - which one would be suitable for all components and case.

Operating System:
Windows 11 Professional 64 Bit - inc. Single Licence

Cost:
£2,655.83 ex. VAT
£3,187.00 inc. VAT

Thanks in advance for recommendation

Is this purely for gaming? Are you running some really heavy games with lots of mods? I only ask as 64GB RAM is beyond overkill for almost everything gaming related...I game and stream and don't even come close to using up 32GB

Drives: Avoid Samsungs for M.2 drives as they have had reliability issues in recent times.

Everything else depends on usage, monitor (the GPU is matched to the monitor to ensure you aren't overspending...ie you are going for the 4080 Sper which is a high-end 4k card so anything less than a high-end 4k monitor and it would be a waste of money)

Thanks,
I will be using it for running some applications in background that would use ram.
What m2 would you suggest? Solidigim?

Also is there a point of going with x870e or should I pick x670e.
Don't think I would be using usb4 in near future.
Basically I have money to spend on PC and want to get something that will last for few years.

If you can go through the link and update we can offer some advice

Any more advices please?
After research I am going to stick to these items for sure:
Processor (CPU): AMD Ryzen 9 7950X3D 16 Core CPU (4.2GHz-5.7GHz/144MB w/3D V-CACHE/AM5)

Motherboard: ASUS® ROG CROSSHAIR X870E HERO (AM5, DDR5, M.2 PCIe 5.0, Wi-Fi 7)

Power Supply: CORSAIR 1000W RMx SERIES™ - MODULAR 80 PLUS GOLD, ULTRA QUIET

Still trying to get some more opinion about:
Graphics Card: 16GB ASUS TUF GEFORCE RTX 4080 SUPER OC EDITION - HDMI, 3 x DP or 16GB ASUS PROART GEFORCE RTX 4080 SUPER - HDMI, 3 x DP or for 16GB ZOTAC GEFORCE RTX 4080 SUPER TRINITY BLACK EDITION - HDMI, 3 x DP - or other 4080 super

1st M.2 SSD Drive:
Thinking to go with 1st M.2 SSD Drive: 2TB SOLIDIGM P44 PRO GEN 4 M.2 NVMe PCIe SSD (up to 7000MB/sR, 6500MB/sW) x2

Processor Cooling:
PCS FrostFlow 240 Series ARGB High Performance Liquid Cooler (250W TDP) or PCS FrostFlow 360 Series ARGB High Performance Liquid Cooler (290W TDP) - 240 or 360?

In post 2 we asked for some specific information which you completely ignored.

Once you've given the information as requested, then we can advise.

Rather than hassle us, perhaps understand that you're the one that hasn't given what's been requested of you for us to be able to help.

Maybe I'm not really real, am I a digital ghost? Is that what's happening? Is it only me and the old regulars that can see what I type? Or is the matrix breaking down and all the bots are going loopy?

Extremely unbalanced build, pity that you didn't listen and provide the information requested.

You didn't answer all the questions asked initially so it's difficult for us to answer your queries with any accuracy or certainty . What background applications running whilst gaming use 32GB+? What monitor do you have so that we can be sure you aren't spending hundreds of pounds pointlessly on an over-powered GPU?

Even ignoring the GPU, you are spending around £400 unecessarily on parts that will add no benefit to a gaming system.

How is that unbalanced? Explain?
This will be the last time before you're kicked out for trolling.

Once you've answered the bullet points in the first response, then we can help out.

This is blatantly trolling, I don't know why I'm still bothering to be rational

It will be for MT4 or MT5 (meta trader), looking for 10 instances (not sure if you know that application, it is for Forex trading and crypto as well) at the same time to use it to play games. That is why RAM capacity.
Would be using it also for video rendering and streaming., etc. I don't want to go with intel 14th gen due to the latest issues.
Want to make sure all are compatible, check if I can pick items that can last longer, are not faulty
For example why people are saying samsung 990 pro is worst that other apart from the cost? cost is not relevant to me. I want the best equipment from what I proposed.

Is that make sense?

So as we’ve already stated so many times and you’ve ignored from the very start, you still haven’t provided what’s been asked for.

I don’t think this forum is going to be able to help you at all if you’re not going to be courteous enough to read our requirements to help.

I’d suggest somewhere like toms hardware
