Yeah it should be fine, but go for 2x4gb sticks instead of 1x8gb and get a better CPU cooler (the cheapest cooler is a lot better than the stock).

Also the 1TB Caviar Black HDD is better than the one you chose for a similar price.

I wouldn't go for that. The CPU is not ideal if you are planning to add a dedicated gpu, they case is not suitable for a gaming system and if you are on a budget I would get only 4gb ram for now to upgrade other parts.

Hi there. I notice you started another thread, try to stick to one, you'll get better feedback.

Just so we can start putting some specs together for you, with your £600, what do you need? Windows, monitor, keyboard, mouse?

What type of games do you want to play?

For the record, the Fusion 650 pre-built desktop would not be your best option for the money. It has a very average graphics card. I think what you should roughly be looking at is an FX 6300, 4GB RAM & R9 270X.

I have £600 to spend on a desktop pc with windows OS , im buying a monitor from amazon. Really just looking for a decent pc that can play most games aat medium to high settings.

If it were me I'd be tempted by vanthus' with a couple o' tweeks. Swap the WD Black for generic 1TB HDD, swap HD 7850 for R9 270X. Comes to £614.

The R9 270X manages to scrape over the 30fps mark in Crysis 3 at Very High Quality, the 7850 is in the low 20s. This is at 1200p though, so maybe the 7850 creeps up closer to the playable 30fps at 1080p but I'd whack as much as you can on the gpu. You lose out on a better performing HDD but in all honesty, the difference in gpu's will be more apparent than the difference in HDDs.
