choose me a case :)

So i'm pretty much ready to order the pc i posted a week or 2 ago, but would like to know, which case would you recommend? My pc atm uses the antec 900, and sticks out slightly from under my desk. The case i like the look of most is the raven RV03, but it is nearly 10cm deeper than my current case, so it would stick out quite a bit further, but i figure i can free up another 10ish cm space behind my pc if i adapt my desk slightly with a wood saw. I also have 3 long haired cats, and their hair tends to get everywhere, so anything with dust filters over the fans would be very useful. I'll post some pics when i get in from work so you can see the current layout of my desk along with dimensions and where i could cut a large hole.

So which case would you recommend? You can choose from pretty much any as long as they arent bigger than the raven in any way and can accommodate the triple copper heatpipe cooler and a 3gb gtx 580

not really anything then apart from the raven which sounds most desired and suited for you. unless the storm enforcer?

the raven should have the most easiest removable dust filters out of all the other cases pcs stock since they are magnetic so they come off without a fight. apart from that case the rest are just perm dust filters on the case so using a vacuum or something else is the only way to clean them.

cheers teaz. can anyone see any issues with cooling around the case if i cut the back of my desk out like this (<3 ms paint)

basically i'd have a few centimetres gap either side where the case slots through the back of the desk, and around 8-10 cm gap from the top of the case to the keyboard tray thing.

also can anyone confirm if the rv03 has dust filters on the mesh on the lower sides of the case? if not could anybody recommend some cos the mesh looks quite large, cat hair would just slot straight through it xD

That should be enough space for the exhuasted air to come out of as there is a bit of gap from the case lid included with the space so it should be alright. (thats if you mean the red line is the height of the raven case btw)

what do you mean by lower side? as in the bottom or the back? the bottom has the magnectic filters but if you mean the side panels for the case then i dont think they have filters as i think that is just the exhuast or intake area for the psu.

the raven wouldnt actually reach the red line, not quite, would probably have a couple of cm of space to play with above it, and yeh the front lower sides where the cover the psu exhaust, mesh looks pretty huge, and honestly, cat hair gets everywhere >.> might just have to ban them from my room xD
