Computer bluescreens when usb device is plugged in.

Hey all.

Whenever I plug a USB flash drive into my computer it bluescreens.

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

Does this happen with any USB device you plug in?
If so,try grounding yourself before plugging in the device to eliminate the possibility of electrostatic discharge.

Have you tried reinstalling your USB controller drivers?

Yes i have re-installed my USB 3.0 Drivers.

A large metal object COuld be your pc case if it's connected to the wall with the power cable, just not turned on

Though given the suggestion was to ground himself before plugging in USB ports to see if it stopped the bluescreens when sai USB was plugged in, having the PC turned off wouldn't really help here *

*yes, I'm just being picky here, its freezing here at work, so I need something to stop me thinking about it
