Config help with Octane II

Hi all,

I finally got my octane II laptop today impressed with it so far but still getting everything set up. I was reading through the manual and I went to access control center with Fn + ESC key and nothing happened. There is also no icon in task bar notification tray bit and no mention of it in the start menu either. Only thing I can think of is that I need to install the drivers with the CD that came with it except it has no CD drive and I have no external disk drive either.

Another issue is that the screen doesn't look right it's either got too much contrast or not enough and it looks on the warm side too. I've tried adjusting the settings with Nvidia control panel but just can't get it looking right. Though this might just be me being used to my old laptops screen. Also although I'm at native 1080p resolution, the cursor and overall UI is small. I figured out that my old laptop wasn't actually a FHD screen and only went to 720p which is why it looks bigger. Is there anyway to adjust the size? I adjusted the settings in control panel but 150% is far too big guess I can get used to it if not. Other than that it works fine just need some tips on colour calibration and how to get the control center software. Could I install the drivers from device manager?

well you can just download the drivers from your pcs account...all the available drivers are there for you to download :)

Not that well versed in the screen department so i'm sure someone else will help you out there :)

Log on to your PCS account and on the left hand side towards the bottom is a menu "Tech" or "Tech support", just under that is "downloads", click that and it will take you to the drivers.

I had one clearly labeled as control center in mine :/

I had a defiance though...ask someone with an octane..they would guide you better...if not you could always get the driver directly from clevos website...im sure its clearly labelled there

Also a slight issue is that if I click restart in the start menu it says restarting then just hangs at black screen? Everything still on and I can toggle the fans to go max speed so it's like it's on. I've had to press and hold the power button each time I've restarted and don't wanna have to keep doing that. Is there a fix for this?

Cheers I got em all installed now and everything works fine. Turns out the restart thing was just a case of waiting a little while and I just about sorted the screen out. The issue was that while everything else looked good the desktop wallpaper I have set looked darker than everything else and was making it impossible to adjust the screen. I just put it into photoshop and changed the colours and now it looks fine. Think my old laptop's screen while looks good isn't calibrated the same so the image was set for the old laptop not the Octane II as It's a photo I took on my Note 4 lol.
