Corsair H80i

I just had an upgrade done on my PC with the H80i CPU cooler and I have a problem with temperature. On idle I get 40-50c and on Load I get 65-90c and that's just after 10 minutes play time on CS:GO, and on top of that I have totally unbearable fan noise.

Yes no overclock, and yes I used the PCS upgrade service.

Tried it again and load temps hit 70-80c

The fan usually goes to 100% when you turn on the system but it should stop after a few seconds. If the fan is constantly noisy even after setting "quiet mode" using corsair link I would suggest refitting the fans and also repasting the cpu.

I've been messing around with Corsair link and the fans are silent on quiet mode, with idle temps of 40c. The temps are way to high on load specially with no overclock, and I don't think i'm experienced enough to mess around in there.

It sounds like a bad paste job or it's not seated on the CPU correctly. I'd give them a call as soon as you can.

Definitely agree with booz, get in touch with PCS and either request an RMA or see what they suggest (I suspect they'll suggest you re paste it). If you're not confident and don't mind the wee wait, request the RMA.

It's an outside shot that the pump's not working correctly, they have been known to have 'false starts'. How long have you been running it for?
