Cpu Fan warning

Brought a pc from here 3 years ago and yesterday Replaced the CPU
Which looks cheap and was at only £10

Old one looked Bulky
New one looks just like what i paid for it

But now when i turn pc on i Get press f1 fan warning

I assume you mean you replaced the CPU fan, not the CPU.

Few things to try.

Ensure you've plugged the fan into the correct header on your motherboard.

Is the fan you've bought a pwm fan (it will have 4 pins on the connector).

Try the old fan again to see if the warning goes away (if it does it suggests you've got the wrong type of fan).

OK we can try to help you but you need to explain your problem in more details. I've read your post three times and I still am unclear what the issue is?

Can you make sure that...
1. Your (presumably) new fan is connected to CPU FAN socket on motherboard?
2. It is spinning?
3. What fan did you purchase? Was it just fan or whole cooler (ie, radiator + fan)
4. Could it be you have a custom PC where you need to plug-in PWM fan and not just 3 pin? (some servers have it like that). Even though that fan is spinning if PWM is not detected it will report as fan failure.

We simply need more info...

Just noticed the new fan

Has 4 pins on it as the one i got from pcspec is 3 pin
Actual new fan is Intel
this is only pic could find

found out problem
Wires from Cpu around fan were cut due the the fan hitting them Grr
So returned and upgraded CPU

Sorry for wasting your time :(
why i never use this place alot
