Cpu question

Is there any difference between the core i5 2500k and the core i5 2500(non-k version) becuase I was checking out some benchmarks and the core i5 2500k was better and I thought they was both the same but the 2500k can be overclocked like crazy.

they are both the same, just unlocked cores, the benchmarks are never exactly correct and some show the normal one as better, it cant actually be overclocked that high, and PCS pretty much hit the limit on it, and ive seen many semi-experienced oeople get the normal one safely up to 4GHz
