Customer Support.

I'm a week off ordering my setup so I decided to get in touch with customer support regarding a few questions I had. After waiting for a representative to answer I asked a couple of questions and got a reply, whilst typing the next couple the representative disconnected the chat without warning. Not wanting to sit waiting again I decided to ask via email but I'm still waiting for a reply.
Has anybody else had issues with support?

The live chat does disconnect a lot, and I don't think it is down to the representative on the other end. I think if the connection cuts out for even a couple of seconds it closes it entirely.

Email is the slowest form of support and may take a week or more to get a response. If you want quick answers you should phone up. I do believe the phone support is the same cost as a regular UK landline (and is included in most contracts minutes).

Okay sounds fair enough, normally a customer support like that would ask if you had any questions before closing the conversation so it was more than likely a disconnection. Being so close to spending a stupid amount of money on a rig I just want to make sure the support is up to standard should there be any issues.
Thanks for the reply.

You can also post questions here, many of us have been here for so long we know the answers to most things.

Generally the phone is the best way to get help, its fairly cheap and very quick.

I live in France so I'm unsure of phone call charges. The setup I'm looking at has 2 GTX 980 Ti's but they say pre order only so I was hoping to find out how much this would change the build time.

One of the best things about PCS is their top quality customer support. But doing it through an official channel other than on the phone is usually nowhere near as good.

The forum is also a great way to get help as mantadog said. Although not an official line of support.

In that case, another line of support may be better. Calls abroad can get pretty expensive. However, we do not have the information you would like as we don't work for PCS. You may be lucky enough to have an official representative join this thread and give you a proper answer. Or you could always try the live chat again. Quicker than email for sure.

If I am up at a decent hour tomorrow I could ring them for you.
In fact any of us I am sure wouldn't mind a few mins to ring them on your behalf just to ask about the Ti's and then reply here.

If I ring them tomorrow I shall let you know!

I must say PCS have been helpful with me when I've had issues. I wouldn't buy a PC from anyone else now. Much better service, and you get far more for your money.

Thanks very much but I can try the support again tomorrow. Great of you to offer though.

Hello there,

Sorry to hear about the live support issues, I will look at the logs to see the cause. As for the graphics card, it says pre-order because it is currently in constraint. This may mean there could be a slightly extended delay outside of the normal lead times. Currently we do have sufficient stock but this could change dependant on the amount of orders we get for them.
