Dead defiance laptop

Hi all.
I had just started a VR session (which I’ve done many times before), and about 5 minutes in, there was a click and the laptop died.
I’ve left it unplugged, and let it call down, but it’s now entirely unresponsive to power button or anything else.
Is there a way to get this going again or is it likely something has popped?

I have noticed previously that “quiet” mode on the fans didn’t actually reduce power, just reduced the fans so it got unbearable hot.

After giving it another few minutes, it has now started up again. Power mode was set to “entertainment”.
It seems that throttling isn’t working too well...
It’s certainly behaving itself now, and GPU temperature is hovering around 95 while playing Derail Valley.

Isnt 95 degrees a little toasty for the GPU? Mind you isnt the Defiance one of those thin and light laptops?
