Hey all,
Some months ago I posted some of the problems I've had with the Defiance 15.6 and Windows 10 as it shipped with.
It caused a bit more of a stir than I wanted (thread is here: https://www.pcspecialist.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?43900-Brand-new-defiance-15
Well... Insider Build 1511 (OS Build 10586.36) downloaded and installed last night. I'm not sure when it came out, as I've not used the lappy for a couple of weeks or more due to work.
Have had a few pleasant surprises:
The trackpad is much more stable (though the gestures/swipes still don't work well). This is using the Synaptics 19.0.26 driver;
I was previously unable to enable BitLocker on my RAID0 m2 SSD's due to the combination of the partition type and the RAID - the new build enabled BitLocker without any issues;
The Fingerprint reader works! No difference in drivers that I can see, but it just works;
All in all this build seems to have made quite a few under-the-hood changes that have had definite positive effects on the laptop behaviour, so I thought I'd share.
