defiance 17.3" for video editing??

Hi,
anyone with editing knowledge out there?
could you please look at what i think i need in the below configuration and let me know if something can be deleted or indeed added.
Also my biggest concern is, have i got my hard drive and ssd correct?? there are so many choices and makes, please have a look for me.

Hi,

For video editing processing and disk access are very important. If you were to place the files you are editing on the SSD, process them on there and then move the completed files back to the regular hard disk you will see some significant speed gains because of the faster reads/writes. In terms of processing many video editors can utilise the graphics chip as well and the 970M will offer a great deal of processing capability for any programs that can utilise it.

In terms of other options you could choose an external hard disk to put your files on rather than having a second internal disk. This gives you the option to lock the disk away somewhere safe and reduces power usage of the laptop when you aren't using both disks. It's an option to consider.
