Delivery question

When your package gets delivered to your doorstep, do you get emailed the expected time of arrival of the package so I know if I should take a day off work

You should get emailed and texted (if you gave you mobile number and permission to sms) when its dispatched.
For most places in mainland UK it should get there the next day.

Times are not specified if you just picked normally delivery, its whenever DHL get to you.

Just to confirm, when an order is dispatched;

- You will receive an automated email & text containing a DHL Tracking Number.
- Nine times out of ten, DHL will deliver on the next working day.
- Sometimes at busy periods (like weeks running up to Xmas) DHL may occasionally deliver within 2 working days.
- DHL claim deliveries should take place between 8AM - 6PM. However we have had customers receive parcels outside of these times.

And hopefully my package arrives when I'm off work or on a weekend.
I'm guessing if no one is present at the destination, it gets dropped off at my local post office?

It will only be delivered on a Saturday if you've paid for Saturday delivery.
If no-one is in it will be taken to the local DHL depot, and they should put a card through your door so you can ring them to reorganise, if you don't ring them, they'll probably try to deliver the next day, but not entirely sure on that.

Thanks, well I ordered on a Saturday so we just don't know, I may just get lucky.
