Delivery to Ireland

I wasn't sure which section was the most appropriate for this but I'll just try here.

My order was dispatched this morning using Yodel as a courier. Has anybody any experience with delivery to Ireland and how long I can reasonably expect to wait? It claims next day delivery, but I wouldn't expect that to happen anyway.

Also is there a tendency towards a particular time of the day for these couriers, since the wait can be awkward, and the tracking system appears to be down at the moment?

I believe deliveries to Ireland normally take 2-3 days (but I have no actual experience of this), cos yes next day delivery is only to mainland UK.

It would be pretty neat if it only took 1 working day, but i don't think that's the case. As Rakk mentions it will probably take around 2-3 business days.

If you are not home, i think Yodel will drop a card in your mailbox, and then you can call them to arrange for a redelivery.

Arrived at 9.40 this morning, very pleased! Wireless card isn't working though, so to tech support I go.

Uhm...gotta be asked (sorry)...aerial(s) attached correctly? :)

If the antenna are attached, the card may have become slightly dislodged in transit and may need reseating (note: this applies if it's a desktop, if it's a laptop then I dunno)

Not entirely sure how to check that since it's a laptop. And it was working this morning, so unless it got dislodged from me holding it, and/or setting it down (which doesn't bode well anyway) I would hope it's still attached.

This is probably not the case, but ill ask anyway. Is there a wireless switch on the front or side of the laptop and have you possibly accidently switched it off?

I've posted my situation in greater detail in the tech support forum. And yes, the switch at the front is on. :p

Yeah, after reading your other thread, it's unlikely to be dislodged - so you don't need to worry about, it's more than likely a driver issue of some sort.

Oh, and try not to post the same problem in two different places, makes it more confusing :)

Well, I originally intended to restrict this thread to the delivery, that's why I mentioned tech support, and posted the problem there immediately, since it was the appropriate place.
Thanks though. :) Any ideas on where to look then, I don't have enough info on the card to look online for the drivers, and I've tried the downloadable ones from here.

Do Yodel do the delivery to Northern Ireland also? Or is this where you meant....damn our complex political situation lol.
