Design my gaming computer?

So by looking through the forums alot of you guys know what you're talking about and often post a spec you think would be best for people to use.
As I'm useless when it comes to this sort of thing, I was wondering if you would help me?
All that I really want it for is gaming, mostly WoW and SWTOR. Cheaper the better but I wouldn't mind running them on high. Also it'll have to be wireless ready too.

Thanks,
Ben.

Cheers man, I'm just seeing how cheap I could get people to do it, I don't really have a budget as of yet, I'd probably do the finance option anyway, pay so much for 12 months then pay the remaining balance etc.
I don't own a computer at the minute either, so will need to buy monitor, keyboard and mouse, so that adds to the price.

Also, excuse my lack of knowledge but what is a home plug? What does it do differently?

Cheers,
Ben

homeplugs send the internet through ya house wiring, gives you a constant connection with the pretty much the same speed as wired.

In a pack, you will have two homeplugs, and two Ethernet cables.

One plug connects to router, then into socket, then the other homeplug gets plugged into socket near pc, then connects via Ethernet cable. DONE wired internet.

All you need a is a spare plug socket, (they have to go into directly into socket)

You could go for an AMD build instead, which allows for a better GPU due to the price.

Here's the AMD equivalent of tom's excellent intel build. The intel cpu is a bit better than this amd cpu but this graphics card is better than the one in his spec. This spec would perform better - only slightly though - due to the slightly better graphics card.

Case
PCS MAELSTROM T900 BLACK GAMING CASE decent case, will be fine for your gaming needs
Processor (CPU)
AMD BULLDOZER QUAD CORE FX-4100 (3.60GHz/6MB CACHE/AM3) good processor, not quite as good as the i5 in tom's spec but a lot cheaper
Motherboard
ASUS® M5A97: AM3+ PLATFORM, DUAL DDR3, SATA 6.0GB/s, USB 3.0
Memory (RAM)
8GB SAMSUNG DUAL-DDR3 1333MHz (2 X 4GB) 4gb is enough to game with but for future-proofing I'd get 8gb
Graphics Card
2GB AMD RADEON™ HD6970 - 2 DVI,HDMI,2 mDP - DX® 11, Eyefinity 4 Capable fantastic graphics card
Memory - 1st Hard Disk
1TB WD CAVIAR BLACK WD1002FAEX, SATA 6 Gb/s, 64MB CACHE (7200rpm) great HDD, very fast. make sure to get this, if you get the standard 1tb hdd your computer will feel very slow. It won't affect game performance as such, but it will vastly improve your loading times in games and files. if you only want 500gb, get the seagate barracuda
1st DVD/BLU-RAY Drive
24x DUAL LAYER DVD WRITER ±R/±RW/RAM

Sound Card
ONBOARD 8 CHANNEL (7.1) HIGH DEF AUDIO (AS STANDARD)
Network Facilities
2 x 200Mbps HomePlug AV - Create a Wired Network Using Electric Sockets! (£38) much better than a wireless card, well worth the extra £22
USB Options
6 x USB 2.0 PORTS @ BACK PANEL (MIN 2 FRONT PORTS) AS STANDARD
Operating System
Genuine Windows 7 Home Premium 64 Bit - inc DVD & Licence (£79)

homeplug is basically a wired connection, but rather than a wire trailing through your house it goes through your electrical system

homeplugs are basically small things that plug into a standard socket in the wall, and you connect one to your computer and one to your internet. the connection is very strong, and is much more reliable than standard wireless. It's quite annoying when your gaming to get disconnected, which can happen lots with the standard wireless card
