Hi there I have decided to get rid of my monitors and hook up my pc to my TV. I am using a HDMI cable but cannot get any picture on my tv what so ever! Anyone able to help?

Assuming whatever graphics card you have is outputting the video over HDMI, and you have selected the correct AV channel on the TV - could your PC's resolution be set to something that is higher than the TV can support?

Going on your signature, is this the system your asking about? Worth trying extending desktop first? The control panel / vendor software should detect a modern tv set on hdmi I'd have thought. Here's a thought - are you trying to drive too high a resolution or frequency over HDMI?

I've also had issues with cheaper brand hdmi over distance too, my PS3 can only do 720 into my projector as at 1080 the projector refuses to sync up.
