Due to the recent (and current in Scotland) adverse weather, DHL are running behind on their usual next day delivery schedule.

Please note that once dispatched orders may take longer than one day to arrive, and unfortunately due to different depots having different backlogs, it's very difficult for us to say exactly which orders will be affected. The problem seems to get worse the further north you travel - if you had a lot of snow in your area and couldn't make it to work some days, then neither could DHL...

We would like to apologise for any inconvenience this may cause; during the Christmas rush courier companies are pushed to their extremes and the snow has only helped make matters worse.

Also, don't worry if your order says 'Order collected'. If we don't use DHL because of the backlog (especially Scotland), we will dispatch manually with another courier. The only way we can do this is 'Order collected'. If you see this status, check on the 'Tasks' on your order and you should see a note.

Here's an example of how bad DHL are doing. This is a PC Specialist order for a desktop that was dispatched over a week ago.

Amazing how 2 days of poor road conditions can result in a delay of more than a week. This delivery is for Renfrewshire. On Monday 6th we had maybe 3 inches of snow (a mere sprinkling) and no more since. Roads have been clear since the 8th.

I was told that DHL "Ship to our PA7 postcode from Kilmarnock".
Unbelievable, their Glasgow depot is actually in Paisley, which is 5 miles from my doorstep. So the shipment has to go 20 miles south again to Kilmarnock. And here's the good bit. When it finally leaves Kilmarnock and is on its way to me, the van will drive past the same depot that it left days before.

Is it really a surprise that they have a backlog.

Oh, and DHL are terrible on the phone too. Waste of time.

Unfortunately there still seems to be chaos for deliveries to Scotland. See post below

It is extrremely frustrating, I know. Especially when you have waited for a custom build of your computer. DHL temporarily suspended all deliveries to Scotland (We're using a different courier for some orders) and the forecast predicts more bad weather before Christmas.

Customers should be aware we're doing everything humanly possible to ensure that every order placed by 10 December is delivered by 24th.

The M6 & M74 are open.
The M6 & M74 have been open every day (maybe except for a while on Monday 6th Dec).
My postcode is west central Scotland. There have been no road closures since Dec 6th.

The recent bad weather is no longer a valid excuse.

DHL are simply incapable of fulfilling your delivery requirements. You should drop them permanently.

I ordered 2 boxes.
1 has been in transit for 10 days (DHL).
The other arrived the day after dispatch (not DHL).

Are there any delays rightnow?

Is DHL still delaying couriers(to London address).?
My Order went to Dispatch status on 18-Dec, so i am expecting it should reach me by today(20-Dec) or max by tomorrow.(Although its still showing that its in Leeds and has not been collected)
After Thursday i wont be able to receive it as going on one month holidays, so bit worried.
Any idea?

As it was dispatched on Saturday, it was only collected today, so should be with you tomorrow, providing there are no delays.

and what about Ireland? :) and 1 thing... regarding to "Once your order is dispatched your tracking number will also appear here." i should get my tracking number as my status says "Order Dispatched" but in "Tracking NO's" section it's says "N/A"...is it some error or what?just can't wait till my PC arrives :) :D

what is this all about??! i've been at home for over 1 week and still no parcel delivered. All the snow and ice melted a long time ago in south east london!! yet still no delivery, should i call the customer services??

I would give DHL a call regarding this - looks like they attempted to deliver on 24th but were "unable to locate". What's your order number?

PCS monitoring this forum on a bank holiday !!!

That is very impressive customer service indeed, particularly as the problem seems to be with the courier rather than PCS themselves.

Hope your computer arrives safely soon Rsiddique.
