Difference between Vortex II and Enigma III?

AFAIK you can only have a max of 8gb RAM and the GT540M graphics card in the Enigma. Enigma seems smaller form factor and better battery life. What are the differences?

I only need this for work and running several VMs at one time for demos. I am not interested in gaming - what do you recommend between the two?

Because you're not interested in gaming, I would recommend the Enigma III. The Vortex II is designed for gaming and is therefore bulkier and has a lower battery life.
