Display issue with Clevo P751TM1-G (2018 Octane Series)

Hey everyone, hoping to get some insight as someone may have come across this issue themselves.

I've an issue where opening and closing my laptop at times cause the screen to flicker out and display white noise. This in turn causes my secondary display to become my primary meaning the display panel is no longer detected by Windows.

Link to video of when it first happened - https://1drv.ms/v/s!AnZIsvc8zH5PvEvTg_4Rv2OUHzeP

I've gone through troubleshooting this myself already, it occurs in the BIOS menu, safe mode and a clean install of Windows with clean NVIDIA drivers, it was safe to say it was a hardware issue and not software.

My warranty period for replacement parts was up but I still had warranty on labour and had little experience dismantling this particular model of laptop so to play it safe I RMA'd it to PCS along with my findings.

Their investigation found that the eDP cable would deseat itself as the lid of the laptop opened or closed. Explained that the cable was still good or I could get it replaced.

In my foresight in wanting to save money I decided to ask them to reseat the cable and reinforce it to prevent it from occurring again.

Months go by without issue until it started occurring again, my warranty was up and with Brexit if I sent it again who knows when I'd get it back (I'm from Ireland), so in my need for a working device (I work in Retail IT Support from home) opened up the display panel and reseated the cable myself.

All was well but again after some time of opening and closing the lid of my laptop it has now started again.

Thought about sourcing an eDP cable but haven't had any luck for this particular model, CLEVO site itself doesn't have it listed or eBay.

Was gonna buy a roll of kapton tape but it's what was used already to "reinforce" the eDP cable. Anything stronger but safe to use on the back of the display panel that I could use?

Any help would be appreciated, thanks.
