Do I need to download drivers?

I just got my Optimus VII 17.3" today and it's a wonderful, beautiful thing.
I've seen people in this forum talking about downloading drivers from the pcs website after receiving their computer and I can see a section in my account with download links of all the drivers pertaining to my laptop.
Do I need to download these, or did my laptop come with them already installed?
One of the links is for a driver for the touchpad and that's working, so I'm assuming they're already installed.

If you bought it with Windows pre-installed the drivers are already installed.

OK cool.
It did come with windows pre-installed.
I actually ended up installing them from the DVD that came with the laptop anyway, except for the VGA driver because when I tried to install it it said a newer driver version is already installed.
I'm sure I havent done any harm by re-installing them right?

Probably not. Run Windows update and see whether it selects and different drivers. With Windows 10 it's better to let Windows update install drivers - in any case you can't really stop it doing so.
