DPD Absolutely Useless

Used to be a good company. Driver today lied about no one being home. Checked reviews and seems like it's a common thing now with DPD messing up everything.

DPD are a franchise which means most of their drivers are guys that work for themselves and are contracted out by the company for that local area. Unfortunately, it's always been the case that they're only as good as your local driver is.

Our guys (we have 2 that serve our area) have been absolutely fantastic, been the same 2 guys for over 10 years now, and they're always here within the time slot and never had even the slightest bit of damage to the packaging.

But we're lucky.

But if you've had a bad experience with your local driver, you MUST review them which you can do in the DPD app, without that, DPD won't know that the service is under par and therefor can't do anything about it.

Same experience as @SpyderTracks with me too. There's one driver in particular that I've known for years, was even the same driver that delivered to my last house. Robert is his name, delivering parcels is his game...... and he sets a really good standard compared to most :)

I read that wrong and thought you'd written "the same driver that delivered my last house". That would have been quite a feat!

Yeah we have some really good drivers round here as well, and yeah if you get a bad one then say so in the app, DPD do take note

Not particularly had a problem with DPD, it was Herpes that were the worst.

Herpes got a bit better straight after their re-brand/re-training to Evri, but they're almost back to their old tricks again...leaving a card to say you were out...when you're WFH; or telling you it's with the neighbour at no.12...when there's only 8 houses in the road. Or leaving a car to say it's in the bin...in the day the bin men are coming/have been!!!

The other is a Uber Eats driver who can't find No.8 (we're No.6)...despite there only being 8 houses, 5 houses have prominent numbers on the gate/door, and he claims to have already tried the others!!!
