Driver for Nvidia GTX 1080 and trouble

Hi all.
One year ago, due to work need, i bought a laptop with this specs:

Octane Series: Widescreen LED IPS opaco full HD 17,3" 120Hz (1920 x 1080) (senza G-Sync)
Processor i7 Intel® Core™ i7-7700k quad-core (4,2 GHz) 8 MB cache
Memory (RAM) DDR4 SODIMM Corsair VENGEANCE 2400 MHz 64 GB (4 da 16 GB)
GPU NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 1080 – RAM video 8,0 GB GDDR5 – DirectX® 12.1, G-SYNC

I use it to work with 2 kind of software: some 3D application, and some Video editing/Compositing.

In the first case i don't have any problem, in the second instead, i experience many Blue Screen Freeze.

The first thing i tried to do is to upgrade the GPU driver, but i can't, it always start the check, and when it arrives at the "Instal" i have an error message.

anyone had some similar trouble?

Thanks

You might want to try downloading and running the Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU ) from https://www.wagnardsoft.com/ to ensure all previous versions of NVIDIA driver are gone before you try installing the latest driver.

Also ensure that you only obtain your driver from the NVIDIA website, and make certain that you download the right driver for your system.

I already tried to uninstal with DDU. But i can't install new driver anyway. So i' ve made a restore before the driver uninstall...

I'm sure i've downloaded the correct driver from Nvidia Site.

Thanks anyway

If you've already used DDU and you're certain you're installing the right driver then I'd suspect some sort of hardware issue. I would give PCS a call and seek their advice.
