Duel monitors?

I've added another monitor to my Dell Optiplex 970 so my wife can work from home.

As this refurbished Desktop only had 1 VGA port in the onboard graphics, the options were to get a Graphics card or go with this cable...

I opted for the latter (cable), as was the easiest option.

But they don't show different screenings (if you know what I mean))

does this mean I have to get a graphics card, or can I set up with the duel cable?

Yes, you would need a gpu, not sure an optiplex would have room for it though

we can’t advise on competitor builds unfortunately so if you need further advice, check out toms hardware which is an open forum
