easy to upgrade your GPU?

im looking at 7970m upgrade. has anyone sucessfully upgraded themseleves? ive been reading and while it looks straight forward enough i just wanted some advice on it.
is it just a case of plugging in the 7970m after pasting it and turning the laptop on? then installing the 12.11 amd drivers?

What's your laptop model? Plug-&-Play depends on BIOS support of a particular chassis.

I think the Radeon HD 7970M is Plug-and-Play with the correct BIOS, ask around on the NotebookReview forum.
