Edimax 7612pin slow connection

My connection with this card, my PC's internet speed, is considerebly slower than my laptop (most of the time). Sometimes has a good few hours then goes back to incredibly slow again. Not sure why, maybe a driver issue? is there anyway I can get drivers from PCS?

Some people have suggested homeplugs but I heard they create a lot of electrical noise and cannot be used with a surge protector (i currently use wireless internet and yes, my laptop is in the same position as the PC when testing the connection).

Try moving the antennas to different positions.
Pass Through PowerLine Homeplugs could be the answer to your problem if you dont have a spare wall socket,they plug into the wall socket but you dont lose the outlet,bit expensive though.

Would the only option be to get homeplugs? Or is it a faulty card/ antennas? because the wireless shouldn't be as slow as it is (can't do a speedtest on the PC as it doesn't allow me to load the speedtest page, i'm currently using my laptop to send this).

Thanks for the reply btw Oh and, I noticed that when i unplugged my keyboard from one of the back USB slots the internet sped up for about 15 minutes then went back to normal, not sure what that means.

Oh, wow, just moved the antennas away from the computer (towards the wall) and the speed is now the same as my laptop, not sure how long this will last but it could have been interferrance from the computer maybe.
