ETA on Finance

Hi everyone :)

I finally gave in and decided to purchase a lovely gaming laptop, of which I am SO excited to receive...However...Opting for the Finance option, waiting for the email from Hitachi to say that the security checks have been cleared is starting to get to me.

I understand that it's been the holidays and obviously they've not been in, I sent my documents last Friday and just received an email this morning saying they've received them, but not I'm waiting for them to complete the security checks. Has anyone else been in the same boat as me? And if so, how long did it take for yours to complete?

Must admit my Finance was approved etc. very quickly, I think you are correct in that the delays are caused by it being a holiday. Give them a few days and if you've not been cleared give them a bell and see what's up!

Its one thing to get knocked for finance through an email , but I remember how I felt waiting for a decision for finance sat in the car showroom. :p

Yeah that would suck lol

I'm still sitting here refreshing my screen, checking my emails every 10 minutes waiting for it to come out of Processing. I'm too excited to wait I may have to call in sick at work so I can go home and sleep and make the day go quicker :D

I did all my finance stuff online thankfully, with everything signed and sealed over the tinterweb. After being knocked back at another company on finance for a computer I was a little worried but thankfully all of my finance stuff with PCS was sorted in about 10 minutes! (The quick build option was a must for me though!) Thankfully had my computer in a matter of about 5 days :) To this day the best £1300 i've ever spent!

That's strange, I was told that I couldn't scan the documents in and email them or upload them to their website they had to be sent in the post so it took a few days?

I think it's only if they need extra documentation that you need to post it, if they don't need extra stuff then you don't need to use the post - noting that I've no idea how they decide whether they want extra stuff or not.

I was allowed to digitally sign my agreement which was sufficient for them. As Rakk said, its possible they have criteria which decides who can do everything online and who has to send stuff in...

Well that sucks lol I was told I had to print off the documents, sign them by hand then post them back. Then I was contacted by them saying they need a copy of the last months pay check which I CAN send to them digitally. So I asked if I could send the signatures digitally as well along with my pay slip, but they said they need hard copies of that. So I just sent my pay slip in the post along with it.

That's a shame mate, at least it is getting sorted!

Yeah that confused me lol but it's all done, I've swapped my order (as they ran out of stock on the 675MX's for the 7970M, and 5 minutes after I done that it went from Processing to In Building :D
