Why do I have problems installing mods on to Euro Truck Simulator 2?

I drag the .scs file over to the mod folder and it doesn't do anything. Nothing works.

What are the best mods out there that has trailers, heavy or normal load?

I have two mods running, a Scandanavian map and Realistic Physics Mod. I can't see any difference using the latter mod.

I had a look on the ModDB there to see what their top-rated mod was for this and the only one I could see is an upcoming multiplayer mod. Truck convoys!

Wow, I didn't realise that someone else was creating a multiplayer mod, there was another one but was cancelled during development

The only mod I have at the moment is the limiter remover, I hate being stuck at 56mph, but its very easy to crash round even a high radius bend at 80mph with a 21T trailer.

Hmmm, well this must have been included in an update, it wasn't available when I first got the game, hence the reason for people creating the mod.

Why am I having problems with the cruise control not working on my xbox controller? It worked fine this morning, but within the last 2 hours its seemed to have stopped working?

I also had a problem where the retarder came on (no idea what it is!) and I remapped all the controls. Still no cruise control.

Any ideas?

Oh sorted now. But I don't know what a retarder is though
