Does anyone have this game?

I've tried to download the latest update for it. When I start the download it says it'll take 3.5hrs to download. And the zip file is only 488MB!!!! It doesn't take this long, probably 30minutes.

When the file has downloaded, it says it can't open/extract it? I've even tried WinRaR to no avail.

Even though I'm on a wireless connection, I've had no trouble in downloading other files when I got the internet on this computer.


What's going on?
Is it the download?
Or is it because I just can't extract .zip files?

isnt ETS2 a steam only game? it should be updated automatically unless it is a pirated copy

that clearly isnt the most legitimate looking website though

No. It can be bought on a disc.

Its the only place you can download the updates. Its from the ETS2 official site!!!

Try 7-Zip, it's the best archive tool and free. If that doesn't open it nothing will and the .zip file is probably corrupted.

Try downloading the file again as well, sometimes they can get messed up during the download.

I started downloading it again, but stopped it because I couldn't be bothered with it any more. I've just started to download the slower download.....even though it only says it'll be ready in 1.5 hrs!!!

Oh, I didn't realise, my bad xD. I only looked at the site name briefly and thought it looked dodgy, didnt see it was linked from the official website. Try a different mirror from the ETS2 site.

I updated the game to 1.7.1. I've just had a look in the ETS2 folders and there's 2 profile folders one is called profile and another called profiles(1.7.1).bak

What are the purposes of having two 'profile' folders?
