Fan question

Hi all,

Got my new PC. Today and it's superb. I got the PCS Malestrom case. But the large side fan wa not connected. I've connected it myself but I was wondering why there are 2 connectors? I've only used the one with the pins. Is this correct?

There are two white connectors on the big side fan. One with 4 pins and one with 4 holes. I pluged the 4 pin one into my power supply. It works fine and LEDs work also. Just wondered what the other connection was for?

I have no idea, why not try it out? Im sure it won't explode If it does, don't blame me.. bloody pixies

There is nowhere to plug the 4 holed connection into. I'm sure 1 connection to the PSU is enough for a fan?

Could be be a pass through connector, allowing you to daisy chain another fan from the same power supply cable/connection.

Yes think it is. As the 4 pinned connection fits in it like a glove. Ty

Id say vanthus has it spot on there. Its fairly standard.
