Thanks again for all the helpful comments & suggestions I've had from forum members - they've been really helpful and I'd recommend others to use this resource.

I know to some of those that have assisted me it may look like I've ignored some advice, but I've had a bit of information overload over the last few weeks but finally have come to the spec below after changing tact somewhat on my initial requirements.

I couldn't resist a little bit of power and speed, they do say power corrupts! Anyway I think I'll be really happy with my chosen spec, still plenty of room for upgrades - cpu, additional gpu, double the memory, an extra hdd etc etc.

I just can't wait for it to arrive, come on, hurry...

6 x USB 2.0 PORTS @ BACK PANEL (MIN 2 FRONT PORTS) AS STANDARD
Genuine Windows 7 Home Premium 64 Bit - inc DVD & Licence (£79)

Look forward to a bit of modding maybe, I might add a bit of bling with some cold cathode case lights or additional led push fans on the cooler (light up the inside a bit:)), should have the room in that giant haf-x case for a bit of fun. I intend to put some pics up when it arrives, then after any additions as they come. Any comments or suggestions...?

A very nice PC, the gtx 570 is a beast I hear. Plus you have the 2500k, so you ca overclock it if u want to.

As has been said, that looks like a very nice spec you've bought yourself. Some bad news though, if my order status is true, the SSD and the PSU are currently out of stock :( Hopefully this won't affect you, but the added waiting time has been killing me. Post some pics when you get it!

FacetiousPizza - now for a start that's a cool & unique username! Where'd that come from?
That's bad news, the waiting's gonna be bad enough without undue delays, what's yr ordered spec FP?

Some progress, not much but payment has been confirmed and it's now in processing, get in there...
Normally I'm a patient person, but this is going to try them.

I have been in pre production for nearly 3 weeks. Think I'm developing ocd, I have been checking my build status every couple of hours.

I rang them today because mine has been in the "building" stage for quite some time now. ordered it on the 18th of this month. They have said they have had people off sick and are quite backlogged :(

Patients is a virtue so they say, well it'll be worth waiting for by all accounts, I find myself status watching far too often also - it doesn't help speed things along though!

Now moved in to pre-production... :) The tension builds.
I can almost see PC Specialist staff shuffling around their stores gathering together nice shiny new components in preparation for the build - the super tidy, organised, ocd level of detail build... wish I was there!

That doesn't sound encouraging antspants, have you called them to find out the delay, or checked the delivery info page for details on stock and delay status? I hope you've spec'd different components to me - don't think I could cope with delays that long!

I would'nt worry icurtis, my build is a workstation with a fairly hefty graphics card. I figure thats whats holding it up.

Well, I went into pre-production on the 19th April, and I'm still there waiting for the 120GB OCZ Vertex 3 SSD. At least there are no more bank hlidays coming up soon :)

Aaaaarrgh... Vertex 3 delays! Had an email from Over Clockers the other day advertising these...
Hey PCS, jog over to OC's and see if they've any left and put me and FaciousPizza out of our ssd delay induced misery, please!

Had an email from them today, no breakthrough news but I get a feeling that my status may be changing early next week, still I'd rather stay patient and get a spanking build than have it rushed. I know, I know, too much optimism.
