Firefox 29 hang

I upgraded to FF 29 a few days ago and since then I've been getting the occasional hang on closing, so that I get the "Firefox is already running" warning next time I open it. I spent a lot of time running without add-ons, running in safe mode, and I even uninstalled everything (profile as well) and did a clean reinstall of FF 29 yet still got the occasional hang.

For anyone else running into the same problem and considering a roll-back to FF 28 (as I was) I have a solution. I always customise the history settings in FF so that history, cookies, etc. are deleted at close down. And that's the problem. If you leave that setting at the default "Firefox will remember history" you don't get the hang.

I guess there will be a fix along for it soon but meanwhile I hope that helps someone....

I just tried what you have above and confirm i get the same problem, just so you know its not just your set up.

FF are usually pretty quick with updates though.

I'm liking the new look but its extremely similar to chrome now. I usually have an instance of both open and i was selecting the wrong one at times.
