This would be my first time building a gaming pc.

The current price comes too £929 and that's pretty much my limit. (That includes screen, mouse etc)

If you could squeeze an extra £90 into your budget you could get a far better build (and the reduced power consumption of a 970 would probably save you the difference on electricity bills in the next few years):
