First Gaming Pc

Righio, first off. hello everyone. how are you all? Several months ago i was sitting playing on my xbox and found myself bored and evermore so on my laptop (Sony vio) and started thinking about pc gaming. My Gf's sisters bf let me have a go on his gaming laptop and i was amazed at the graphics difference. truly mesmerizing! and now is the month for me to take the plunge! first off ill outline what i want to get from this pc as im sure your opinion on it will require at least that.

Primarily it will be used for surfing the web and gaming, . i watch people streaming most of the day and find myself having several tabs open at once, and i also have an unhealthy addiction to Minecraft :sweatdrop: i will be playing battlefield 4 as well and maybe a couple of other games (TTT ect).

I will also be purchasing two Lg or BenQ 24" monitors to use, and my gf has kindly purchased a razor mouse and keyboard as a Christmas present for me.

However, i will be starting College in September 2014 to do a computer course and hopefully use that to progress into university eventually so i would like this pc build to have enough kick to handle anything that these courses will throw at me.

I also already have a Graphics card sorted hence why it is not included in this build, it is an MSI gtx 780 Lightning

A caviar black or an SSD+ caviar black.

Thank you! i have swapped it to the caviar black. today is the lucky day for me! i was going to order it on tuesday (24th) when i get paid but luckily my old landlord decided he would eventually (after 2 years) give me back my deposit on my old house. so early order for me lol.

words cant describe how excited i am!

EDIT : ive already got a gtx 780 msi lightning, and i will be putting it in when i recieve the pc. i just want to know which wireless card it will be best to get. the PCI or PCIe?

Thanks again

There won't be a noticeable difference between PCI and PCI-e, you could consider home plugs instead for a more reliable connection.

ok. thats fine then. thanks again. ill have a look into them. ive ordered the pc anyway so when i receive it ill possibly buy some.
Have a great christmas!

For a rig like that I would be looked to spend ~£70+ on the case. High end gaming components get hot so it pays to spend a bit more on a good case.
Edit: apart from that, looks good (with the changes Keynes suggested). What was your final order?

ah. i thought the case could have been fine. damn.

and the final order was exactly what i had in the first post spec just with the caviar black 1tb. :)

Never mind eh? Nice build! Upgrading the build before it goes into building is no problem. Just login and amend your order.
The case COULD be fine, however I reckon when you're spending so much money it's worth the extra £30 or £40 just for peace of mind.
I know the cm690ii is a good case with decent airflow (I have one), it's just a shame it doesn't have easy removal dust filters.

sorry i apologize if that came across as rude and that i wasn't taking your advice! i didn't realize that once you paid for the PC that it could be changed! but i have changed the case to the one you mentioned ( CM690 MKII) and have paid the difference. thank you. once again sorry if it came across rudely as i do value everybody's input.
