Alo fellow electronic junkies! Just put a order in for a vortexIII lappy, gonna be a long 2 weeks till it arrives.... Not sure on the protocall here regard showing the specs ive ordered and making my epeen big. so heres a goblin shark for no reason.

Firstly, Hi and welcome to the forums! Also, I'm doing good thanks, fit like yourself :) (took me a wee while once I moved up to Scotland to figure out what that meant haha)
I think you've got to get in touch with PCS to change your username. An email of phone call should do it, but I'm not sure.

Welcome to the forums. you dont have to worry about the size of posts you can easly throw your spec up and we can just double check it for you if you like

As for Name change it needs to be an admin that does it for you, Tom DWC, is a Mod he might be able to do that, i might be wrong but if you PM him he might be able to help.

I don't think us mods can change usernames (least I can't easily work out how to), I think you'll actually need an admin to do it.

LOL small world, cant remember the last time i was out in Inver, ivery time i am i end up on a train into town.

If its just for gaming you would be fine with 8GB of ram, that more than enough, if you are planning a bit of editing and stuff 16gb would be better, its always something you can upgrade later.

Take it you got the upgraded thermal paste for £9, it'll help her run cool and £5 for the silver warranty just incase, i had my lappy picked up and it was about £35 because i forgot.

Nice sec though, the Vortex 3 cam out a month after i got mine so you can imagine how gutted i was. :)

It's a small world! We bought a house here just over a year ago, quite like Inverurie tbh! Yea I got the 16gb orderd, 2x8 sticks. I shall have a skeck at that post after I give the pup a walk! :)

Nice one, i get impatient waiting for mine, delivery to here means it has an overnight in Aberdeen, as soon as i saw it was at the depo i took a drive out to get it. Waiting isn't one of my strong points.

I picked it up from the depot yesterday lol :p impatient much! Well it's a beast! Not had enough time to test it to its limits yet, but it shall be done ;) plays like a dream!

LOL, i know the feeling, its a nightmare of a place to pick it up from though if you pick the wrong time.
