Full sized UK Keyboard

Hello!

Been looking at getting a new laptop for a while now. PCSpecialist seems to be the way to go.

Started looking at the Vortex but apparently the backlit keyboards aren't full sized, a shame but understandable.

Narrowed down the choice to a 15.6" Optimus V. Just one really important deal breaking question, does it have a full sized UK keyboard? I.e a full sized return key. The images show a US layout keyboard.

I saw this review/blog entry about it and from this picture you can see the full sized UK keyboard. Now just before I had landed on that review I had asked live support if they did have a full sized UK keyboard and that answer I got is that they don't.

I'm being desperate here, is the person I spoke to wrong or have they really dropped full sized UK keyboards since the summer?

They would normally give an indication if something was out of stock on the ordering page once you've selected the parts you want and clicked 'proceed'. I ordered my optimus V a couple months back though and it came with a full sized UK keyboard, you can see from this picture I posted in my review

Well I don't think it's a about being out of stock. If you ordered that a few months ago then I think I just got bad info from the live support who in fact did send me a picture of a US keyboard layout claiming that was what the laptops came with.

I'm hoping someone else from PCS sees this thread and clears things up.

Hello there imranh. When the Optimus V first launched the keyboard layout was I know for certain that is the 17.3" keyboard at the time of initial release as im typing on it at the minute. I will double check once I have access again to new stock (when I am back in the office) to check CLEVO have not changed the keyboard design since launch.

My Optimus V 17" keyboard is full sized with the enter key being appropriate size and matching moosEh's image. I have a new Optimus V ordered this month.

It'd be good to know for sure if the 15" Optimus V came witht hte full sized keyboard as well.

What specs did you get for your new Optimus?
