I have been using Xbox Pass Beta Pc since the release of MSFS 2020.

it cost me a £1 for a month (until 18th Sept), it then moves to £3.99 a month.

Currently using it to trial games to see if worth buying on Steam.

Downloaded MSFS ‘Playing‘ it off and on

Downloaded and completed Wasteland 3.

Downloaded Crusader King 3 (released the other day) currently playing.

Downloaded Endless Space 2, not really tried it.

all not bad for a shiny £1.

So glad this thread appeared...hadn't realised that the PC Games Pass is free if you already have an Xbox Ultimate Games Pass  May not use it for a while given all the games I still have to play but good to know it's there
Sorry, I think I've confused matters, I think XBox GamePass and PC GamePass are actually separate things, my bad.

I was confusing with XCloud which is basically cloud gaming, which I'd assumed was all tied into this, but it's not.

They are separate, sort of. PC Game Pass is definitely included within the Xbox Ultimate Game Pass as I have now installed the game pass app onto my PC. I noticed it at the bottom of the link Gavras posted:

" Visit xbox.com/gamepass and join Xbox Game Pass Ultimate to enjoy all the benefits of Xbox Live Gold and Xbox Game Pass on both your Xbox One console and your Windows 10 PC. "

The PC one actually has a lot more games on it than the Xbox one!
Ah, ok, got ya, thanks, wasn't sure about all that.

If you are going for an Xbox Ultimate, then there is a decent cheaper way to do it.

extract from article.

Microsoft has blown the rest of its Xbox Game Pass deals out the water with this latest offer, but only if you're a new subscriber. Thanks to this nifty little lifehack, you can get up to 36 months of Game Pass Ultimate (a membership that combines Live Gold online play and Game Pass streaming) for $1/£1 - if you've got enough Live Gold months stored up.

That's right, Xbox is currently offering a trial price of $1/£1 for the first month of their Game Pass Ultimate membership but here's the kicker - they're also converting any remaining Xbox Live Gold months you have left on your account into Game Pass Ultimate as well.

That means you can purchase up to 36 months of Live Gold or use gift cards to take you up to that limit, and then sign up for Game Pass Ultimate using the introductory deal to convert all those months into valuable streaming time.

Microsoft has fully supported this lifehack, so there's no need to worry being penalized for tricking the system into mega savings. While this offer lasts it's the best way to get Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and can save you a startling amount of cash as you stream your way into 2022. Grab your Xbox Live Gold codes here:

For those that have not taken advantage of this shiny £1 offer.

i have now started player The Outer Worlds, (Fallout in space with smaller sandbox).

For a month of gaming its almost a no brainier, even for an extra month at £3.99 it’s rather good value.

help me out please guys, how do I access the pc specialist game pass? I'm automatically signed in with my existing xbox live account.

I think it's also shown as an Xbox logo in the start menu / task bar if you've installed it.

You can simply search the Microsoft Store for 'Xbox' and it will show a few results...one of which will be the Xbox app.

Download it, log in, and start downloading/playing.

NOTE:
  • Some games are not available on both platforms
  • Cross-save is not supported for all games
  • DLC bought on one platform does not automatically mean you have access to it on another platform (which was a pain when I realised all my Forza DLC would have to be repurchased when I start playing it on my new PC).

I finally have a bit of time to play with this and realise there must be an access code / password to get in? where do I find that?

Was Xbox Game Pass for PC already installed on your system? If so, then, according to the blurb, you simply need to run it to gain the one month free (presumably at which point you'll need to enter your Microsoft details).

If it wasn't pre-installed on your system, then your system didn't qualify and you'll need to download it yourself....however, you can still get the first month for £1

Scroll down to the bottom of this for the information:

great thanks. however I have an ultranote which I didn't really get for gaming! I don't have great eyesight and wanted to use the pass on my PC with a decent size screen. I guess I could see if the ultranote will hook up to that screen. Has anyone managed to use a controller with this- I have one sitting around and I imagine it would be more fun that the keyboard

If it's for your PC instead, then simply download it from the Microsoft Store and pay your £1 for a month's trial.

I play most of my games with an Xbox One controller, whether they're from Game Pass Ultimate, Epic, Steam, GoG, etc.
