I'm going for a 34" 4K curved screen if I can find one. 34" because of space for now. I also use my desk for work so I have the share the space with a 27" flat screen and a Cubesim screen. Cubesim not for work obviously 😄

What refresh rate? Resolution is only half the picture?

Mickor ... Hi, I wasn't asking if it was fast enough, I know it's up to the job, I was just asking if there is anything that coul dbe changed to maybe make it a little more future proof. Maybe a slightly more powerful power supply? Thst sort of thing. 👍

U posted the best spec and asking if its fast enough 🤣
Might be fast enough...but there's nothing wrong in asking whether the cooler+paste/PSU is suitable for the hungry CPU and GPU!

If it was me...I'd upgrade to a 115/150i AIO, 1200w PSU and faster RAM (although 6000MHz doesn't seem available on the configurator at the moment).

Thanks TonyCarter, you get it 👍. It's a big investment and the last thing I want to find is that I missed something fundamental. I have bought PC's before that I can't upgrade because of limitations in the power supply or the case isn't big enough to fit more modern components.

Thanks.

I've amended a couple of parts with notes:

Case
COOLERMASTER COSMOS C700M TOWER GAMING CASE Just because yours was out of stock, obviously change for what you want
Processor (CPU)

Intel® Core™ i7 16-Core Processor i7-13700K (3.4GHz) 36MB Cache 13900k is not going to benefit at all over this
Motherboard

ASUS® ROG MAXIMUS Z690 HERO WIFI (LGA1700, USB 3.2, PCIe 5.0) - ARGB Ready
Memory (RAM)
32GB Corsair DOMINATOR PLATINUM RGB DDR5 5600MHz (2 x 16GB) Speed is more important than 64Gb IMHO
Graphics Card

24GB NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 4090 - HDMI, DP
1st M.2 SSD Drive
1TB SAMSUNG 980 PRO M.2, PCIe NVMe (up to 7000MB/R, 5000MB/W)
1st M.2 SSD Drive
1TB SAMSUNG 980 PRO M.2, PCIe NVMe (up to 7000MB/R, 5000MB/W)
Power Supply
CORSAIR 1000W RMx SERIES™ - MODULAR 80 PLUS GOLD, ULTRA QUIET
Power Cable
1 x 1.5 Metre UK Power Cable (Kettle Lead, 1.0mm Core)
Processor Cooling
CORSAIR iCUE H150i ELITE LCD Display RGB CPU Cooler Beefiest cooler you can get is preferable
Thermal Paste

STANDARD THERMAL PASTE FOR SUFFICIENT COOLING Cooler comes with high quality paste pre applied
Sound Card

ONBOARD 6 CHANNEL (5.1) HIGH DEF AUDIO (AS STANDARD)

Thanks SpyderTracks, I will take you advice. The only thing I changed was I upped the support to the Gold Warranty. £69 works out to be just about 6p per day over three years, if my maths is right, and that seems cheap for peace of mind :)

I would personally say the warranty is worth it, I bought gold with my laptop and didn't need it, but it's very nice peace of mind.

The 13900k vs 13700k is largely diminishing returns, get the 13900k if budget is there, it will give a little extra performance, but it really is not much for the increased cost and heat. Personally, I'd be very satisfied with the 13700k, and think it runs far better from a thermal performance. Plus it has higher base clocks on the P cores in normal loads, so a lot of the time will actually out perform the 13900k.

One last question before I hit the go button ... pretty much everything I have plugged into my PC runs on USB. The spec above says "MIN. 2 x USB 3.0 & 2 x USB 2.0 PORTS @ BACK PANEL + MIN. 2 FRONT PORTS" Is it worth upgrading this?

I agree with you on the warranty, I have always bought my PC's/Laptops from PC Specialist and I have never needed to claim on any of the warranties, which I think says a lot for the build and quality of the componenets!

USB ports are part of the motherboard, there are tonnes on any modern motherboard but that specific one has the following, plus you'll have some more on the case, remember the 2 x USBC are thunderbolts, so they can daisychain to as many devices as you like.

If you find you don't have enough, you can always get a hub

Perfect. My current PC looks the same as the image you posted so I sort of imagined the new PC would be fairly similar. Well, that's settled. I'll place the order today. Thanks again for your input on this, it's been invaluable in helping me make the right decisions 👍
